The name “The Shiny Hiney” always made our kids laugh over the decades when Bruce told them he would someday have a dog grooming business with this name. So when the opportunity opened up for us to do just that we jumped on it. Our kids wouldn’t believe us. After convincing them that it wasn’t a tall tale they all became as excited as we are.

You see, we have been life long dog lovers, with all of our family members owning dogs, lots of dogs. From the Great Mastiffs, Golden & Lab Retrievers, English & Springer Spaniels, Cairns, Maltese to Pugs and a few we don’t know what they are. It doesn’t matter, we love them all. Even when they pee on the carpet or bark on the couch.

We have been grooming all our own dogs for years. We bring that love to our business and to your dogs that you entrust in our care. We have been living in rural Spring Valley for 15 years. We have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. And like I said Dogs, lots of dogs!
